Snoqualmie Elementary Chess Classes

All About Chess is excited to be hosting two classes at Snoqualmie Elementary this spring. We will have a class on Tuesdays before school from 8:05am-9:05am and a different class on Wednesdays from 3:40-4:40pm. Both classes will meet in the Multi-Purpose Room. A typical class begins with a practice game followed by a focused lesson. Then, depending on the week, students practice what they have been learning with games against their peers, fun variant chess games, solving puzzles, and checkmate patterns. Sportsmanship is stressed throughout. Another theme of the class is thinking about our actions and making good choices.
